How many of you are regularly updating your business on Google?
One of the most surprising things to me is how many businesses don’t do either.
So… let’s talk Google My Business.
Google My Business recently removed its app and as a result, there has been some confusion about whether it’s worth continuing to use it. Here are 3 reasons why we think it should be an essential part of your marketing schedule.
The more active you are at updating your account, the more relevant Google considers you to be. In the same way, it is important to regularly update your website to ensure relevancy with the Google algorithm, GMB works exactly the same way.
Regular updates increase your SEO and advance your chances of turning up on the first page of Google in ‘Search’ and ‘Maps.’
Capturing client reviews can be time-consuming! GMB has a built-in function that allows you to create custom links to share with your clients. This allows them to add reviews in a quick, efficient and super easy way.
The more 5-star reviews you have, again the higher you’ll appear on google searches.
Even though some of the features have been removed from ‘updates,’ this is still such an important feature. Updates allow you to connect with customers in an authentic way, similar to that of your social media posts.
However, you can also add links and direct your customers back to your website, landing pages or special offers, increasing the reach of your marketing for local searches.
So if you have a Google My Business account, it might be time to give it a little T.L.C.
